Spindle cowrie (Phenacovolva philippinarum), a well camouflaged gastropod that lives and feeds on gorgonians and soft corals. Related to the true cowries but lacks teeth on the aperture. Tube anemone (Pachycerianthus sp.), lives in sand-encrusted mucous tube buried in soft sediments. If disturbed, it can retract its body well into the tube. Has two sets of tentacles, one set encircling the mouth and another of much longer tentacles around the edge of the disc. They are most closely related to the black corals. A Wandering anemone (Nemanthus sp.), They usually attach themselves in large numbers to Sea whips or Gorgonian sea fans (thus dubbed 'Gorgonian wrappers'). Some are striped ('Tiger anemones'), some spotted and some pure white or yellowish. They can dis-attach and wander in the currents before resettling.
Common in southern Qld and NSW. North Solitary Island, New South Wales, Australia
