Okayama Castle, completed in 1597 and rebuilt in concrete in 196
Okayama Castle, completed in 1597 and rebuilt in concrete in 1966 after destruction in 1945. The Asahigawa river was diverted to form a moat on the eastern side. The walls of the castle tower of six storeys were formed of black-lacquered boards so the castle came to be called the Crow Castle. Okayama, Okayama Prefecture, Japan
