Wild horses (Equus caballus), two horses of a population living on the harsh plains of the eastern fringe of the Namib Desert. The herd of 90 to 150 may be descendants of cavalry used in World War I, or riding horses freed or escaped from farms a century ago. Fossil remains of a Mesosaurus (Mesosaurus tenuidens)

Fossil remains of a Mesosaurus (Mesosaurus tenuidens), between 270 and 250 million years old, thought to be one of the first marine reptiles, about a metre long with webbed feet, slim body and a long tail.
