Myco-heterotrophic relationship between a plant and fungi.
An examplar of myco-heterotrophy, symbiotic relationship between a plant and fungi whereby the plant gets its nutrients by parasitising fungi (Monotropastrum humile). This plant has almost no chlorophyll and is a parasite of Russulaceae fungi. Komada Marsh, Fukushima, Japan
