Glossy-leaved hammer orchid (Drakaea elastica)

Glossy-leaved hammer orchid (Drakaea elastica), pollinated only by thynnid wasps; the flightless female wasps wait for a male to carry her to mate mid-flight; the hammer orchid mimics the female wasp in colour, structure and pheromones so that the male wasp tries to mate with it and then another hammer orchid, thus carrying the pollen from one plant to another.
