Buddhas hand (Citrus medica var. sacrodactylus)
Buddha's hand (Citrus medica var. sacrodactylus), a fragrant citron used in China and Japan to perfume rooms and clothing; in the west the fruit's peel is often used for its zest. The pith is not bitter as in other citrus fruit so the fingers can be sliced and scattered over salads or cooked dishes. Origin: Northeastern India or China
