Colonel's Homestead and gardens at Walter Peak Station on the southwestern shore of Lake Wakatipu, first built in 1908 and rebuilt after a fire in 1977. It is now a restaurant. The gardens were begun in the 1870s by the original owners, the Mackenzie family. Near Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand
